A beige label / vaaleanruskea etiketti

Life is filled with everyday dilemmas. Bigger and smaller ones. Today I have used a lot of time pondering whether I should vote in the next parliamentary elections and if yes, then who should I vote. There are various problems I have not been able to solve yet. I'm concerned because of the raise of certain parties and would like to make a counter act by voting some other party. I haven't been able to find the right party nor the right person yet. And if I happen to vote for a person that doesn't get enough votes in the elections, my vote will go to some other person of the same party. So what matters is which party one is going to vote rather than which person. I hate this. Sometimes I even start to wonder if there's much sense in democracy because my voice will never get heard anyway... (Now shoot me before I go any further)


Well, this has been my time waster today and I think I could have used my day way more productively. Thank you Elaine and Peggy, because of you two lovely ladies I will post something today. :-) This is a beige label for personal use. 

Elämä on täynnä päivittäisiä pulmia, pienempiä ja isompia. Tänään olen kuluttanut ihan luvattoman paljon aikaa miettimällä tulevia eduskuntavaaleja. Pitäisikö äänestää, ja jos kyllä, niin ketä? Tähän liittyy mielessäni useita ratkaisemattomia ongelmia: ensinnäkin, tietyn puolueen viimeiaikainen kannatus saa minussa aikaan halun äänestää ihan vain vastapainoksi. Mutta mitä puoluetta ja ketä ehdokasta? Ensinnäkin, on äärimmäisen vaikeaa löytää ainakaan vaalikoneen perusteella ketään, joka olisi samaa mieltä riittävän monista asioista. Ja ovatko ne vaalikoneen kysymyksetkään kovin relevantteja? Toisekseen suhteellinen vaalitapa aiheuttaa minulle ongelmia. Jos sattuisinkin löytämään henkilön, jota haluaisin äänestää, eikä hänen äänimääränsä olekaan riittävä, menevät hänen äänensä jollekin toiselle samassa puolueessa. Tärkeämpää siis kuitenkin on löytää oikea puolue, kuin oikea ehdokas. Ottaa päästä. Joskus jopa epäilen koko demokratian mielekkyyttä, kun huomaan, ettei ainakaan minun ääneni kuitenkaan tule kuulluksi. (Niin, en minä silti tiedä mahtaisinko olla tyytyväisempi vähemmän demokraattisessakaan valtiossa...)


Tämmöinen on tänään vienyt mentaalikapasiteettiani ihan liikaa, ja tuottavamminkin olisin voinut päiväni käyttää. En mitenkään taloudellisessa mielessä, vaan henkilökohtaisessa mielessä tuottavammin. Kiitokset Peggylle ja Elainelle kommenteista, näiden kahden ihastuttavan naisen vuoksi saan taas tänään jotain postattavaa. :-) Tässä yksi beige etiketti henkilökohtaiseen käyttöön.

Thank you lovely Elaine for posting a comment on my previous post so that I can post more freebies. I wish you all a wonderful weekend as well, it's clear sky and sunny over here for a change. Today's freebie is a pink label. It's for personal use as usual. Has any of you used my freebies for anything? If you wish, you can send me a link to your blog so that we can all have a look or send a picture for me to publish here. :-) I'm always curious to know what people use these for! ;-)

Tämä vaaleanpunainen etiketti on vain henkilökohtaiseen käyttöön, kuten kaikki muutkin ilmaiskappaleet täällä. Onko kukaan teistä käyttänyt näitä mihinkään? Jos haluat lähettää linkin blogiisi tai kuvan tänne julkaistavaksi, niin se olisi hieno homma! Pääsisimme kaikki katsomaan tulosta, ja minähän olen uteliammista ensimmäinen. ;-) 

A Transparent Label / Läpinäkyvä etiketti

Here's another piece for today, and this is a transparent label in png-format. Of course the transparency doesn't work in printed media (unless you print it on a transparent film!) but you can conveniently lay it on top of other items and they will still be visible from beneath. Yes, I'm not sure if it's handy or not, probably there aren't too many places where you'd actually find it useful, but it's here anyway.  Just klick on this image below to open the downloadable image. And as usual, this is for personal use. 

Tässäpä hyödynnettäväksi läpinäkyvä etiketti png-muodossa. Läpinäkyvyys ei tietenkään toimi tulostetuissa etiketeissä, ellei niitä sitten printtaa läpinäkyvälle kalvolle, mutta tämän voi digiskräpätessä tai kuvamontaaseissa läväyttää kohteen päälle, joka näkyy edelleen alta läpi. Niin, en tiedä onko tämä oikeasti kovinkaan kätevä, tuskinpa kovin montaa hyvää käyttökohdetta löytyy, mutta tässä se nyt kuitenkin on. Klikkaa yllä olevaa kuvaa tallennuskokoisen tiedoston avaamiseksi. Ja tämäkin kuva on vain hekilökohtaiseen käyttöön, kuten aina. 

Long Time No Seen / Tainnut aikaa vierähtää viime näkemästä

I have been away for... what - 5 months now? No, I have not been traveling (I wish I had) and I haven't been particularly busy either. I'm just one of those people who get tired if there's no feedback at all! According to my stats there have been hundreds or rather thousands of viewers so far (not that it would be impressive at all in the blogosphere) and lots of people download stuff from this blog, but very few ever leave a comment. Yes, I know it's a common problem but then again if there's no comments then I have no reason to post either! During these 5 months that I have been sleeping on my desk waiting for any kind of feedback, I have received 5 comments in total! But what I'm genuinely happy for is, that I seem to have gained a couple of new followers. Welcome dear friends, it's always nice to have more people on board; the more the merrier! 


I'm still eagerly waiting for comments so that I could one day upload the last piece of my digikit! For now, here's one more. As always, this is strictly for personal use alone. It's a nice rose tag which you can use for your scrapbooking purposes or just print it out as many times as you wish and use for decorating your gifts, cards or jars or... well, let me know what you can think of. ;-)

Olen nyt tainnut "lomailla" viitisen kuukautta. En sentään ole päässyt matkustelemaan (kunpa vain) enkä muutenkaan ole ollut mitenkään erityisen kiireinen. Mutta kuka tahansa väsyy odottelemaan työpöydän ääressä, jos minkäänlaista palautetta ei koskaan tule. Tilastojeni mukaan täällä on käynyt satoja, ellei tuhansia ihmisiä, ja valtavan monet latailevat täältä materiaalia käyttöönsä viikoittain. Aniharvat kuitenkaan vaivautuvat jättämään kommenttia. Tämähän on tietenkin ihan yleinen ongelma, mutta kun kerran olen päättänyt syöttää tavaraa ladattavaksi kommentteja vastaan, niin eipä sitä ole paljon postattavaa, jos kommentit puuttuvat. Viimeisen viiden kuukauden aikana olen saanut huikeat 5 kommenttia... se tekee siis keskimäärin kommentin kuukautta kohden, vaikkei tuo olekaan totuus jakaumasta. Sen sijaan olen aidosti iloinen siitä, että mukaan on hypännyt pari uutta lukijaa! :-) Kiitos ja tervetuloa rakkaat ystävät, mukaan mahtuu hyvin!


Odottelen yhä innokkaasti kommentteja, jotta ehkä jonain kauniina päivänä saisin julkaistua sen viimeisenkin osasen tästä sarjasta - ja pääsisin uusien juttujen kimppuun, julkaistavaa kun makoilee varastossa aika läjät! Tähän postiin liitän ruusuisen etiketin, jota voi käyttää vaikka skräppäykseen tai korttiaskarteluun tai ihan vain lahjapakettiin. Thank you for commenting again Theresa! As you can see, I can use some comments over here! ;-) Since not all parts of the kit are equal, I'm sure not all the pieces are pleasing to everyone. B&W Collection Collage Sheet / Mustavalkoinen kokoelma -kollaasisivu

Here's a black and white naturalist collage sheet with tags, butterflies and ATC backgrounds. It's like a butterfly collection that you can either use as it is or colour the images to match your need. Just klick the image above to open the printable A4 sheet (200 dpi). (You may have to klick again for the browser to magnify the image!) I would love to see what you people have made with the images I've offered, so if you fancy to show off your work, just leave a comment with a link back to your own work. ;-) This is for personal use, not to be sold in any form.

Saatat joutua klikkaamaan toisenkin kerran, jotta selain suurentaa kuvan. Olisi muuten tosi mukavaa nähdä, mitä saatte aikaan näistä tarjoamistani kuvista. I made some more tags today for those who like flowers better than birds. ;-) These are for personal use. Flower images are from the National Agricultural Library, ARS, USDA. Just click the image to enlarge it for printing (200 dpi / A4). And please let me know, if you like them. :-)

Teinpä sitten hieman lisää etikettejä niille, jotka pitävät enemmän kukista kuin linnuista. Nämäkin ovat henkilökohtaiseen käyttöön. I needed to do something today so I made some Feather Mail style decorative tags you may print out and use as name tags on your presents or what ever you happen to think they are suitable for. These are strictly for your private use. Just click this image above the text to open the larger image which you can then download and print. Beware, it's a large file (res 200 dpi / size A4). Please let me know if they are good for anything. ;-)

Tänään tuli tarve näperrellä jotain, joten tulin tehneeksi Feather Mail -tyylisiä koriste-etikettejä, jotka voi tulostaa ja käyttää vaikka nimilappuina lahjapaketeissa, tai sitten johonkin muuhun sopivaan käyttötarkoitukseen. Yesterday I finally got fed up with my storage system for the magazines. Yes, I'm the type of person who saves all the lovely garden, crafts and interior design magazines, and I have piles of them. And far too many piles. Since the boxes I use for storing them weren't perfectly labeled, I got organized and printed some labels for them. These are made with the free program I recommended before (Paint.net) and I have used the pictures I found at the Karen's blog The Graphics Fairy.

Eilen tympäännyin lopullisesti heikkoon arkistointijärjestelmääni, jota olen käyttänyt vanhojen sisustus-, käsityö- ja puutarhalehtien varastointiin. Lehtiä on tietenkin pinoittain ja pinojakin ihan liikaa. Silti yhdestäkään lehdestä ei voi luopua. Koskapa lehtikotelot ja -laatikot eivät olleet kovin hyvin merkittyjä, päätin viimein korjata asian, ja tulostin niitä varten etiketit. Nämä on tehty ilmaisella Paint.net-ohjelmalla, ja kuvat olen löytänyt Karenin The Graphics Fairy -blogista.
